Silage, Manure and Feed Tools

Silage grabs combine a bucket, fork or clamping frame to cut and retain fibrous material. A clean cut helps reduce air entering the silage face. The tool must provide enough opening and clamping force for the intended material without creating unnecessary disturbance.

Sickle-bar mowers cut vegetation with a reciprocating knife and can produce a clean cut with relatively low power. They are useful for hay, ditch banks and sensitive vegetation, although stones and tangled material can obstruct the cutting system.
