Buying equipment

How do I find used attachments for sale?

Open the MachineAttachments Marketplace and use the search box or the attachment filter. The filter only shows categories that currently contain active equipment for sale. Editorial buying guides remain accessible even when there are no matching live listings.

Do I need to register to browse listings?

No. You can explore public listing titles, prices, photographs and technical descriptions without an account. Registration is required to reveal seller contact details. Account verification reduces casual scraping but does not guarantee that every user is legitimate.

How do I contact the seller?

Open an active listing and sign in to reveal the contact details the seller has chosen to share. Contact the business directly using its published options. MachineAttachments does not currently provide escrow, process the equipment payment or guarantee that a seller replies.

Can I make a purchase through MachineAttachments?

The current Marketplace introduces buyers and sellers; it is not a checkout or payment platform. You agree on inspection, price, invoice, payment and delivery directly with the seller. Verify all critical details independently before sending funds.

How can I check if the attachment fits my machine?

Obtain your machine’s exact model and coupler dimensions. For hydraulic tools also compare operating flow, pressure, return or drain requirements, attachment weight and control systems. Physical attachment to a coupler does not by itself establish that the combination is safe or approved.

Are the listings inspected by MachineAttachments?

Not as part of the standard listing process. Listing information is supplied by sellers and must be verified by the buyer. Ask for serial-number evidence, detailed photographs, operating records and inspection when the equipment value justifies it.

What does a Demo listing mean?

A Demo listing is an example showing how marketplace advertisements look. It does not represent equipment currently offered for sale and cannot be purchased. Demo items are excluded from active attachment-category stock results.

What if there are no used attachments in my category?

That category currently has no available listings matching the selected filters. You can remove filters, check the Marketplace again later, or use the technical Attachment Guides to understand the product before purchasing elsewhere.

How do I identify a suspicious listing?

Watch for missing identification, reused photographs, pressure to pay quickly, changing bank details and prices far outside plausible market ranges. Independently verify the business and equipment location, ask for documented evidence and arrange an inspection before committing to a high-value purchase.

Can I purchase attachments from another country?

You can contact overseas sellers, but confirm freight, taxes, export/import paperwork where required, payment terms and mechanical fit. The platform does not automatically arrange international delivery. See our cross-border buying guide.

Selling equipment

Who may publish Marketplace listings?

Marketplace publishing is designed for eligible Business Accounts. Simple Accounts can browse and contact sellers but cannot create business inventory listings. A business does not need a claimed Manufacturer profile simply to advertise its own used equipment.

How do I create my first listing?

Create or sign in to a Business Account, complete the required company fields, then use Post a Listing. Add the equipment type, condition, price or price-on-request status, location, specifications and photographs of the actual item.

How long does a listing remain active?

An eligible listing stays available for up to 30 days from publication or renewal. It stops appearing in active results earlier if marked sold or reserved, or when it is archived. Expired items are excluded from available-stock category results.

Can I renew an expired listing?

Yes. Eligible sellers can use My Listings to relist an expired item for another 30 days. The listing number and permanent URL remain associated with the same item, allowing a consistent reference over time.

How do I mark equipment as sold?

Sign in to your Business Account, open My Listings and update the status of the relevant advertisement. Marking it sold promptly ensures that the equipment no longer appears as available stock. Do not leave sold items marked active.

Can I edit the price or technical information?

Yes. Business sellers can edit eligible listings from their account. Changing ordinary details does not automatically restart the 30-day listing period. Confirm the new information remains accurate after any changes to condition or accessories.

Should I show the equipment serial number publicly?

A serial number can help verify the correct model and parts, but consider whether publishing it in full is appropriate for the equipment and transaction. At a minimum, include an accurate model and offer identification evidence to genuine buyers when needed.

What photographs should I upload?

Use current photographs of the exact attachment, including a complete view, wear surfaces, mount, hydraulic connections, identification markings and any damage. Avoid stock images that could suggest a different unit is being offered.

Accounts & privacy

What is the difference between Simple and Business Accounts?

A Simple Account is intended for browsing and contacting sellers. A Business Account adds company details and the ability to manage used equipment listings. Business users can also browse and contact sellers; they never need to switch account types to purchase equipment.

Does a Business Account automatically appear in the Manufacturers directory?

No. Marketplace business details belong to the seller’s listings or marketplace presence. Manufacturer-directory management requires a separate, approved claim to an existing Manufacturer profile. A business that only sells used equipment does not receive manufacturer media tools.

Why are seller contact details restricted?

Requiring verified sign-in helps discourage bulk collection of business contact information. It is not a guarantee against scraping; the platform also needs access controls and abuse monitoring. Do not reveal sensitive information beyond what is required to handle a legitimate enquiry.

Can I change my account email or password?

Your account settings provide options to manage personal information and security. Follow the verification procedure for changes to a login email address. Use the password-reset option when you cannot sign in, and choose a unique password you do not use elsewhere.

Can a Business Account also request equipment quotations?

MachineAttachments is currently concentrating on its Marketplace and guides. A future RFQ system is not part of the present service, so do not assume quotation routing or supplier matching is available.

Transaction & safety

Does MachineAttachments hold payments or provide buyer protection?

No. The current platform is a directory and marketplace for direct contact, not an escrow, insurance or payment-protection service. Buyers and sellers must agree on transaction safeguards themselves.

Who arranges loading, shipping and collection?

The buyer and seller decide this directly. Confirm the attachment’s weight, dimensions, loading facilities, delivery terms and insurance before payment. International purchases can involve additional paperwork and tax treatment.

What if the attachment is not as described?

Keep the listing, correspondence, invoice, inspection records and delivery photos. Contact the seller promptly and seek professional advice about the applicable agreement and local law. MachineAttachments does not act as the seller or guarantee the condition of third-party equipment.

How can I report suspected fraud or misuse?

Document the listing number and any concerning messages or payment instructions. Contact info@machineattachments.com with those details. Do not include bank passwords or unnecessary sensitive documents. Also contact the appropriate payment provider or authorities where a fraud may have occurred.
