Attachment selection guide
Pallet Forks
Pallet forks support unit loads from underneath. The practical handling limit depends on the fork frame, tines, pickup, load centre and carrier configuration as a complete system.
Selection criteria
- Tine geometry
- Choose usable length, spacing and heel clearance for the goods.
- Frame and pickup
- Confirm the specific mounting and locking arrangement.
- Load centre
- Compare the actual load position with the rated conditions.
- Adjustment
- Decide whether manual or powered tine positioning suits recurring loads.
Working setup
- Place the tines far enough under the load to support it securely.
- Keep the load aligned and avoid dragging it with one tine.
- Carry in the permitted travel position and plan a clear placement area.
Maintenance and wear checks
- Inspect tines for damage, distortion and wear at the heel and working surfaces.
- Check retaining components, frame welds and pickup engagement.
- Use the supplierβs inspection and replacement criteria rather than reshaping damaged forks.
Questions before choosing
- Can fork capacity be used as the machine capacity?
- No. Both the attachment limits and the carrier limits for the exact configuration must be respected.
- Are longer tines always better?
- Extra length changes handling geometry and may encourage a load position outside the rated conditions.
Confirm compatibility
Compare the exact tool model with the carrier documentation, approved mounting interface and complete assembly weight. Hydraulic tools also require a suitable supply, return arrangement and control connection. Ratings apply to the configuration stated by the manufacturer.
Ask for installation information, service access and replacement parts before ordering. Use the related guides below to compare the carrier, application and other tools for the same task.
